Foundation Trainer Plus Reaccreditation Course
Course Overview
This 1-day refresher course reaccredits those who have achieved a full pass on the 3-day Foundation Trainer Plus course within the last 15 months to continue teaching the Level One – 6 Hour Behaviour Support courses for an additional 12-month period.
Who is this course for?
Anyone who wants to continue leading and supporting the delivery of training in behaviour support strategies in their organisation, and who holds a valid Foundation Trainer Plus certificate that is current, or which expired less than three months ago.
Learning outcomes – what you’ll achieve
Those who achieve a full pass will be accredited to deliver the Level One Behaviour Support course, as a lead trainer, to employees of their single employer, within permitted trainer ratios.
Modules included in this course:
- Background to Team Teach
- The Legal Framework
- Understanding Aggression
- How Feelings Drive Behaviours
- De-escalation and De-fusion
- Personal Safety
- Positive Handling – mainly guiding and escorting safely*
- Repair, Reflection and Review
One trainer is able to carry out staff training events for any number of participants up to 24 if only theory-based content is delivered, and up to 12 delegates per session if any physical modules are included.

Your certification
After successfully completing our 3-day Foundation Trainer Plus course you will be fully equipped to facilitate the most effective training for your colleagues. You will be certified to deliver our Behaviour Support Training Level One course.
Your certification will be valid for 12 months (3-month grace period available if required).
Please note, re-certification is required annually, by completing a 1-day re-accreditation course.
If the confidence or competence levels of a participant require more time and support, an ‘assist’ pass may be awarded, allowing individuals to assist on Level One – 6 Hour courses and refresher courses that are delivered for their employer. An ‘assist’ pass can be upgraded to a full pass by attending a future Foundation Trainer Plus Trainer reaccreditation course.

Participants must have successfully completed a Foundation Trainer Plus course within the previous 15 months.
Alternatively, an ‘Assist’ pass gained at a previous Foundation Trainer Plus course can be upgraded to a full pass by attending a Foundation Trainer Plus Reaccreditation course.

Connect Fee – Supporting You With Transparent Fair Pricing
From 2026, the annual fee will reflect the number of Team Teach-certified staff within your setting. This fee ensures every certified individual in your setting can access Team Teach Connect’s award-winning Knowledge Hub resources and the Support Service while easing financial strain.
Your staff require an active subscription for their Team Teach certificates to remain valid.
A setting refers to a single place of business, e.g., a school, care home or residential home. An organisation can comprise of a number of settings e.g. a Multi Academy Trust of schools, a Care company, a fostering agency or a recruitment agency with multiple branches.
Here’s our new banded pricing structure for 2026:
- 1–24 certified staff: £170 (+ VAT)
- 25+ certified staff: £220 (+ VAT)
This per setting fee ensures every certified individual in your setting can access Team Teach Connect’s award-winning Knowledge Hub resources and the Support Service.
How it works:
- For existing customers, the fee will be calculated at your renewal date.
- For new customers, it will be based on your first training event in 2026.
As this is a per setting charge, every Team Teach certified individual in your setting can access Team Teach Connect. Team Teach Connect is a mandatory part of Team Teach training.
Booking Process
To book, select from the available dates and locations. You can book online using a valid credit card or generate an invoice for your employer. By purchasing this training, you acknowledge that Team Teach Connect is included as part of your purchase. The Team Teach Connect fee will be billed to your setting only once the trainee(s) are certified.
