Overview 5-day Intermediate Trainer Course

Course details

This 5-day Intermediate Trainer course provides your organisation with researched, considered behaviour support strategies as a foundational approach for your staff, when responding to behaviours that may present as challenging in your working environment.

The full suite of Team Teach behaviour support strategies, all the required theory and the physical intervention skills to support low-medium-higher risk behaviours are included. The programme also provides you with a tried and trusted training framework and covers international best practice, planning, risk assessments and relationship building, so you can significantly reduce risk and restrictive practices in your setting.

We work with you to positively transform behaviour support in your organisation and reduce the need for physical intervention and our training promotes respect, teamwork, personal safety, preventative skills and de-escalation.

Becoming a trainer in behaviour support for your organisation will allow you to:

  • support your team to develop the skills, approaches and confidence they need to help individuals who are distressed or dysregulated, with their behaviour
  • increase understanding and awareness of behaviour as communication and develop a consistent framework and shared approach as an organisation to better respond and reduce risk
  • provide ongoing flexible, cost-effective training and professional development to your staff team as and when required.

This course is for individuals who want to lead on, and provide the delivery of training in behaviour and crisis support strategies to colleagues throughout their own organisation.
